Nicolas Seiwald came into the game for Schlager, and Benjamin Sesko finally shot Leipzig into the lead in the 38th minute. Christoph Baumgartner came on as a substitute after an hour, but after a yellow-red card for Xavi Simons (72′), the Saxons were outnumbered. Kramaric headed the ball for Hoffenheim to win the point. Florian Grillitsch played well in defense for the guests.
