Ranking the NBA’s Biggest Mouths: Who’s the Most Vocal Player of the Moment?

The NBA is never the last to bring its share of verbal outbursts of all kinds between its different protagonists. And obviously, count on us to list them as often as possible, because without being too crude, we are fond of these muscular duels. So, who do you think is the biggest mouth of the moment?

The previous edition of the TrashTalk Award was won by Knicks fans who traumatized Joel Embiid, in Madison and in Philly!

Candidate #1: Josh Hart plays translator for Reggie Miller

Former tormentor of the Knicks in the Playoffs, Reggie Miller is now a commentator for TNT. And after having shown all the colors to the New York franchise in his time, he was at Madison Square Garden to commentate on the conference semi-finals against the Pacers, his long-time team. The public of the Big Apple did not forget him and wanted to give him a personalized welcome. Josh Hart heard it and wanted to talk to the former Indiana glory about it.

“I don’t know if you heard, but I think they’re saying ‘fuck you’.”

All this is said with a smile, but this should not make us forget the adversity that reigned over this series for 7 games, while reviving old memories of the past between two teams who do not really like each other.

Candidate # 2: Anthony Edwards had arranged to meet the Nuggets in Game 7

Anthony Edwards is hellish and he knows it, he is never the last to deliver a punchline and this series against Denver was no exception to the rule. While the Wolves were down 3-2 after leading 2-0 in a roller coaster series, he announced full of confidence that the two teams would meet again for Game 7, and the journalists wanted to find out for sure. .

Anthony Edwards for life “I’ll see y’all motherfuckers for game 7” 🤣🤣🤣#wolvesback 🐜 pic.twitter.com/5W9iXyYcEK

— Alex Micheletti (@AlexMicheletti) May 17, 2024

“Obviously…I told those motherfuckers ‘see you at Game 7!’”

And Ant-Man kept his word since they actually found themselves in an anthology Game 7, where his Wolves came back from the dead to win after being largely behind. Anthony Edwards was very confident, but obviously not too much, since his team qualified for the conference finals for the first time in 20 years, during the Kevin Garnett era. Thanks for existing Ant!

Candidate # 3: Paul Pierce completely spins after the elimination of the Knicks

We know that Paul Pierce is a fan of brainstorming of all kinds on Twitter, and we had proof of this again recently, with the elimination of the Knicks in the conference semi-finals against the Pacers. The former glory of the Celtics, who never carried the New York franchise too much in his heart, showed it in his own way in a video published on his personal Twitter account.

The Truth stomped on a Jalen Brunson jersey in his backyard after the Knicks were eliminated. We don’t know why or how he came up with this idea, but he did and decided to share it on social media. Too bad he didn’t have to blow the balloon before making this completely gratuitous gesture in any case.

Candidate #4: Anthony Edwards put Jamal Murray in jail

Hey, it’s been a long time since we heard from Anthony Edwards. His new victim? Jamal Murray, on whom he defended, and even admirably. Clearly, it’s not a good idea to cross paths with the ant when you’re part of the Nuggets organization at the moment.

“Hey, I got Jamal Murray in handcuffs!” »

— TrashTalk (@TrashTalk_fr) May 20, 2024

It must be said that Jamal Murray did not have the same impact when Ant-Man defended him, and the latter had every intention of talking about it so that everyone could hear him. So he repeated it several times while bursting out laughing.

Candidate #5: Tyrese Haliburton had a very specific dress code

Tyrese Haliburton was hot, on the pitch and in his words, he who likes to tease the public during some of his brilliant actions. He proved it again against the Knicks, not backing down from anyone and continuing to speak (well, it’s often when he’s in front, but still). After the Pacers qualified, Hali had a consciously chosen sweatshirt. Judge instead.

Not content with pacing anything that moves during his hot shots, the leader took out a hoodie bearing the image of Reggie Miller, making the choke sign against the same Knicks in 1994. A very nice tribute to the legend of Indiana following the elimination. A little regret? That he didn’t take it out when he arrived at the room in anticipation.

Candidate #6: The Cavaliers wanted Boston, they got Boston

After having disposed of the Magic in 7 games without much reassurance, confidence was required in Cleveland, which was preparing to face the Celtics. Neither one nor two, once the victory against Orlando was confirmed, chants “We want Boston!” came down from the aisles of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, and the C’s kept that in mind.

The Cavaliers wanted Boston, they got Boston. Certainly, they took Game 2, for form, but did not really exist apart from this coup against the best team in the League. The Cavs will have to learn humility in the future to avoid being lynched like this.

Candidate #7: Max Strus gets eaten out over an NHL jersey

Alongside the NBA Playoffs, the Stanley Cup also takes place in the NHL, the North American hockey league for the uninitiated. And the Boston franchise, the Bruins, simultaneously faced the Florida Panthers at the same stage of the competition. And Max Strus knew that well, since he wore one of these jerseys to go to the game. Boston saw the former Heat player’s FC Proxy and took it upon themselves to remind everyone of it.

no comment 🤷‍♂️ pic.twitter.com/wSX6fSRXgP

— Boston Celtics (@celtics) May 16, 2024

Somehow, there is 1-1 in this “match” since Max Strus was eliminated by the Celtics, but in the NHL it was the Panthers who defeated the Bruins with a score of 4-2. Shall we part as good friends then?

Candidate #8: Luka Doncic thanks the Thunder for paying to see him

Luka Doncic returns to the conference finals after dismissing the Thunder. The Slovenian, always having his tongue out, especially with the referees (even if he has calmed down), had it this time with OKC fans but also with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

LEAKED Audio Of Luka Doncic Trash Talking Shai Gilgeous-Alexander👀:

“Give me that sh*t… f*ck yea!”

Then, Luka tells the OKC crowd: “Thank you for paying and watching me” pic.twitter.com/q21swMyI9p

— LegendZ (@legendz_nba) May 16, 2024

After a counter on SGA, Luka lovingly whispers in his ear “Give me that shit!”, then he is also heckled by fans at the side of the field, to which he responds “Thank you for paying for see me play.” And following the chants “Luka s*cks”, he decided to join in with them, to show that he doesn’t care. Luka Doncic is a child.
