Rafael Nadal returns to Roland-Garros: new line for his legend… or “possibility of disaster”?

Until last Thursday, and some clock dust after 2:30 p.m., the question did not really arise… At the twilight of his immense career, Rafael Nadal, 38 years old on June 3, 14 of whom lifted the Roland-Garros trophy, returned , whatever it costs him, to inhabit the scene of his greatest exploits.

Ready to die on stage and throw the last strength of his battered body into battle, come what may. We imagined him spending a few laps and unleashing the nostalgic crowds before giving up his arms (or not) when the step would be a little too high for his current abilities.
