PSG: Fabian Ruiz summoned to Spain, Asensio and Soler will not play in the Euro

One on three. This Monday, the coach of the Spanish team, Luis de la Fuente revealed an expanded list of 29 elements which should be further tightened before the start of the announcement. Before this announcement, three PSG players could claim to be called up to participate in the competition which takes place from June 14 to July 14: Fabian Ruiz, Marco Asensio and to a lesser extent Carlos Soler.

Only the first was ultimately selected by the Roja coach. The former Neapolitan reaped the fruits of a generally successful season, during which he established himself as one of the major elements of the Parisian midfield and was aligned by Luis Enrique during all the important matches of the second part of the season.

Marco Asensio is one of the big disappointments on this list. The ex-Madrilenian strongly hoped to be called up with his country to play in the Euro and had made it one of his major objectives. But the attacking midfielder paid the price for his foot injury during the September rally which then prevented him from being called up in October and then in November.

More information to come…
