Paris Saint-Germain does not intend to transfer additional millions to PSV regarding Xavi Simons, Le Parisien reports. According to the newspaper, the French top club refuses to sell Simons next summer. This has everything to do with a resale clause that PSV has for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.

Simons has had a great season at RB Leipzig, the club that hired him from PSG this season. Simons scored 10 goals and 15 assists in 43 official matches for the number four in the Bundesliga.

PSG does not seem to be planning to call on Simons next season, who represents a huge transfer value. Bayern Munich would be willing to pay between sixty and seventy million euros for the thirteen-time Dutch international, but PSG does not intend to get rid of Simons.

This has everything to do with the complex deal that PSG previously concluded with PSV. The French activated a clause in Simons’ contract last year, which ensured that the youngster could leave Eindhoven for only four to six million euros.

PSV did retain a resale clause, which will at least still be active next summer. Le Parisien does not know how high the percentage is.

In any case, PSG prefers a new rental period for Simons. His old club FC Barcelona is interested in that. The attacking midfielder played for eight years in the youth of the Catalans.

If desired, Simons can also extend his period with Leipzig. The Germans would like to continue with the top talent.
