The mayor of Pozuelo de Alarcón, Paloma Tejero, participated in the annual event of the Pozuelo Basketball Club, held at the El Torreón Sports Center, where the club’s traditional family photo was held. He highlighted the good number of athletes that the Pozuelo Basketball Club has, with 432 young people, distributed in 34 teams, including two baby school groups.

The mayor highlighted the significant role of the club’s 145 female athletes, who, in her words, “not only represent the fighting spirit of the club, but are also a role model for new generations.”

Tejero celebrated the values ​​of excellence, respect and sportsmanship that the club promotes in each training and competition, and mentioned the group photograph as a symbol of unity and promising future for the club and the community. “This photo is a powerful symbol of our shared history and our common commitment,” he said.

The councilor concluded her speech by thanking all the members for their passion and dedication to basketball, and assured that the city council will continue to support the club in its future initiatives and competitions.

The Pozuelo Basketball Club trains at municipal facilities and receives aid from the Department of Sports to carry out its work, thus promoting grassroots sports in Pozuelo de Alarcón.
