Potential Candidates Emerging for Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach Position

The interviews have not started yet, but there is already someone in the running to take the position of coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. According to Marc Stein, ESPN analyst JJ Redick is the one who starts on pole to take the place of Darvin Ham, who was fired by the Los Angeles organization after losing in the first round of the playoffs against the Denver Nuggets 4-1.

To be exact, the aforementioned journalist points out that it is precisely in the circle of the coaches themselves that it is believed that the Californians have a predilection for Redick, being himself the one who could lose such status in the interview process.

Just about those conversations that those in gold and purple are about to begin, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski points out that they already have authorization to interview up to five assistants: James Borrego of the New Orleans Pelicans, David Adelman of the Denver Nuggets, Sam Cassell of Boston Celtics and Micah Nori of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chris Quinn of the Miami Heat.

Although there is already a long list of options, the truth is that the process still seems long in order to make a determination. As already leaked, the Lakers will first meet with those they know the least to end up closing the round of interviews with other more recognizable candidates. After that, they will close a list of finalists from which the chosen one will emerge.
