Persib Bans Madura United Supporters from Visiting

Persib Bandung faced with Madura United di final Championship Series Liga 1. Maung Bandung forbids Sape Kerrab supporters from visiting.

The 2023/2024 Liga 1 final will be held over two legs. Persib hosted first at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Sunday (26/5/2024) evening WIB. Madura United will host the Blue Prince at the Gelora Bangkalan Stadium five days later.

In League 1 this season, there is still a ban on away fans. This rule is the impact of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. Away teams whose supporters are present at the stadium will receive a fine. Same with the home team.

The final match clearly attracted a lot of attention from supporters Persib and Madura United. Vice President of Operations PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, Andang Ruhiat, reminded supporters of the ban on aways.

“We understand that there is high interest in watching the final match, including Madura United supporters. But the rules must still be enforced. So, we again prohibit Madura United supporters from attending the first leg of the final match on Sunday, May 26 2024,” said Andang on the Persib website.

“PSSI threatens sanctions against the two clubs involved, which commit violations. Meanwhile, supporters who insist on attending SJH will be disciplined by the police and PERSIB is not responsible for the losses they cause,” he added.

Persib was good against Madura United. In the last three matches in League 1, Persib has never lost with a record of two wins and one draw.
