Perfumerías Avenida goes to another League final against Valencia Basket

MADRID, 6 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Perfumerías Avenida came back (82-51) against Spar Girona this Sunday in the second semi-final match of the Endesa Women’s League to reach the final, where they will face Valencia Basket for the fourth consecutive year, who advanced more comfortably (80-60 ) against Casademont Zaragoza.

At the Wurzburg Municipal Pavilion, Avenida had to come back 12 points from its defeat in Girona on Thursday, without its captain Silvia Domínguez, but the Salamanca team more than fulfilled its goal to give itself the chance to regain the league throne. Sika Kone and Laura Gil made differences in painting.

Meanwhile, the current champion, also of the Super Cup and Copa de la Reina this season, fulfilled as he had already done in the first leg against a skilled team that could not say goodbye to Vega Gimeno in an epic way. Valencia Basket, with a +27 from the first leg, did not slow down in La Fonteta under the leadership of Querlt Casas.

The Salamanca team won two finals against the Valencian team until last year when the ‘Taronja’ triumphed in the first League in the club’s short but successful history. The 2023/24 season brings a fourth straight round of the League between both teams, with the first leg in Salamanca on Thursday and the return leg in Valencia on Sunday.
