Paris 2024 Olympic Games: the Bleuets will face Paraguay, the Dominican Republic and Japan before the Games

The program is gradually being revealed for the French Olympic football team. While Thierry Henry hopes to announce his list before the end of the month, we now know the program of preparation matches which will take the group until its entry into the tournament, on July 24 against the United States at the Vélodrome stadium ( Marseille).

Three meetings will take place before the event. This Thursday morning, the FFF announces that the French players will first face Paraguay on July 4 in Bayonne (9:15 p.m.), before crossing swords with the Dominican Republic and Japan on July 11 and 17 in Toulon (9:05 p.m.). In the meantime, the Bleuets will have reached their base camp located in Châteauneuf-le-Rouge, near Aix-en-Provence.

After its opening match on July 24 in Marseille (9 p.m.), the Bleuets will face Guinea in Nice on July 27 (9 p.m.) then return to Marseille on July 30 to face New Zealand (7 p.m.).

To date, it is still difficult to predict the list that Thierry Henry will select for the Games (18 players + 4 reserves). The coach has been working on this for many months with the staff and the support of the Federation. Many players who are or have been important members of his group among the hopefuls have yet to receive the green light from their club, like Warren Zaire-Emery who should also, barring any major surprises, play the Euro with the team of France A. The question will also arise of the three players over 23 who will be part of the list, and in particular one: Kylian Mbappé, whose presence at the Games is subject to the agreement of his future club, Real Madrid.
