Pacers Dominate Bucks in Playoff Series Victory: Recap of Game 6 Win

Indiana Pacers (E6) – Milwaukee Bucks (E3) 120:98 (BOXSCORE), Series: 4-2

The Pacers won a playoff series for the first time in ten years, and they ended in round one five times. The opponent in the Conference Semifinals is currently being determined between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers (the Knicks lead 3-2). The only thing that is certain is that the series will begin on Tuesday night.

The Bucks lost without Giannis Antetokounmpo (soleus muscle) being able to intervene once in the series. Damian Lillard (Achilles tendon) also missed two games but returned for the elimination game. But the All-Star couldn’t really help; the guard could hardly move, especially defensively. The Bucks got far too few stops, while Indiana picked up the pace at every opportunity. Tyrese Haliburton (17, 7/16 FG, 8 assists) was significantly improved compared to Game 5, and his backup TJ McConnell (20, 7/8, 9 assists, 4 steals) also had an outstanding game. Myles Turner (5, 1/6) was in foul trouble most of the time, and Obi Toppin (21, 8/15, 8 rebounds) stepped in for him. Pascal Siakam contributed 19 points (9/15) to the win.

The Bucks, on the other hand, were hardly able to create any good offense despite Lillard, and Indiana was able to limit Khris Middleton (14, 6/15) this time. Lillard was the top scorer with 28 points (7/16 FG, 10/10 FT), helped by Bobby Portis (20, 14 rebounds) and Brook Lopez (20, 7/12). Otherwise, Milwaukee lacked depth, the reserves scored exactly one point in the first half, and things were only slightly better after the break. The Pacers won the bench duel 44:6 – excluding the 2:30 minutes of garbage time.
