Pacers and Timberwolves Advance to Conference Finals After Hard-Fought Series Victory

In the seventh match of the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference, the “Pacers” beat the New York “Knicks” 130:109 (39:27, 31:28, 31:29, 29:25) on the road and won 4-3 in the series to four victories.

Tyrese Halliburton led the Indiana team with 26 points and six assists, Andrew Nembhardt and Pascal Siakam scored 20 points, and Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner added 19 and 17 points, respectively.

Donte DiVincenzo, who scored 39 points, did not save the home team from the loss, while Alex Burks added 26 more points.

The Pacers reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in a decade. The first game of the series between Indiana and the Celtics is scheduled for Tuesday in Boston.

On the other hand, in the seventh match of the semifinals of the Western Conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat last season’s champion Denver Nuggets 98:90 (19:24, 19:29, 28:14, 32:23), winning the series 4-3.

Jayden McDaniels and Karl-Anthony Towns, who also had 12 rebounds, contributed to the visitors’ victory with 23 points, while Anthony Edwards had 16 points, eight steals and seven assists.

Jamal Murray scored 35 points and Nikola Jokic had 34 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists for Denver.

The Minnesota team’s opponent in the finals of the Western Conference will be the Dallas Mavericks, who beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 4-2 in the semifinals.

In the final series of the previous season, Denver “Nuggets” defeated Miami “Heat” 4-1 and won the NBA championship for the first time in history.
