Wow! The last nine bets that I have shared in this daily column have proven to be winners! We’re on fire!
The bet I took yesterday on Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi to allow fewer than 5.5 hits to the Chicago White Sox almost lost. He didn’t deliver a performance up to par for the season, but he still allowed only five hits!
I also shared two other bets on my YouTube channel yesterday. My system also suggested betting on the Kansas City Royals, who easily disposed of the Detroit Tigers by a score of 10-3, as well as on the Oakland A’s who ended an eight-game losing streak. A very profitable day!
Today, I plan to bet on the Twins-Nationals duel. I bet both teams will score a point total above 8.5.
Although Twins pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson is off to a good start to the season with a 2.97 ERA, I believe his inexperience will eventually catch up with him. Last year, he took a step back in his progression to the AAA level with an earned run average of 4.91. He even allowed nine runs in just 13 innings of work at that level before making the jump to the MLB.
What’s more, he hasn’t faced a powerhouse so far this year in major league baseball. With the exception of the Cleveland Guardians, who rank sixth in the league in points scored, Woods Richardson has only faced lower-ranked teams so far this season. He faced the Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox twice.
On the Nationals side, pitcher Jake Irvin will be sent into the fray today. He had poor statistics in his rookie season last year, but he seems to have taken a step forward in 2024. However, he has had his ups and downs since the start of the year and his last outing could have hurt his his confidence on the mound.
Last Friday, he collected just two strikeouts in five innings of work while allowing four earned runs to the Philadelphia Phillies. And here he is facing the 12th best offense in MLB and I don’t think he has what it takes to slow down the Twins hitters.
The Twins have just ended a streak of seven losses by putting 10 points on the board. They will show up at Nationals Park full of confidence.
I therefore predict an offensive duel between these two clubs which will together score more than 8.5 points.
