Strikingly red in color, wearing a fisherman’s costume in the port of Tivat might not be an overly unusual sight. Long eyebrows and a strong beard should not be an unusual sight for one of the numerous active fishermen in the Bay of Kotor. And yet there was a special surprise behind this presentation.

When the supposed fisherman got rid of his stuck-on utensils in the form of his eyebrows and beard, there was a huge outcry among the numerous children present. Because none other than the Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic suddenly appeared in the Montenegrin port city.

And that’s not all. The 24-time Grand Slam champion didn’t miss the opportunity to hit balls with all the kids who wanted to play on the harbor promenade and ensure that the children’s eyes grew bigger and brighter. The queue to cross rackets with the Serbian tennis idol took on immense proportions. But as on the largest courts in the world, the 36-year-old was characterized by his immense patience and did not give up until his last wish was fulfilled.

Even though Djokovic is polarized among tennis fans around the world and is perceived very differently in terms of popularity, he always shows full commitment to the little ones and will always be a strong player in their game. Things will get serious again for “Nole” when he takes up the racket again professionally at the ATP Masters event in the “Foro Italico” in Rome.

Don’t miss any news!
