The goalkeeper issue at Club Brugge has been resolved in recent days due to the injury of Nordin Jackers, but the goalkeeper will still have the opportunity to challenge Simon Mignolet in the coming seasons.
The 26-year-old Limburger was rented from OHL for one season. That deal came with a purchase option, which Blue-Black is now taking advantage of.
“After Mignolet’s injury, Jackers got his chance between the posts and proved his worth in thirteen games. The 26-year-old Limburger managed to keep a clean sheet six times,” the club website said.
“His strong performance will now be rewarded with a contract until 2027.”
