The departure of Francesco Farioli from OGC Nice is being finalized. As expected for several days, the Italian coach will not spend a second season on the Côte d’Azur and it is at Ajax Amsterdam that he is preparing to continue his young career.
Le Gym did not intend to block the 35-year-old Italian in his attempts to leave and this was confirmed this Wednesday as Nice reached an agreement with Ajax to release its coach, who arrived last summer on his bench. The amount of this agreement has not been filtered precisely but would be around one million euros.
Farioli will leave for the Netherlands accompanied, at least, by his closest deputies, the Italian Daniele Cavalletto and the Spaniard Felipe Sanchez Mateos. Farioli now just needs to agree the terms of his contract with his new club, but that should be a mere formality.
