National player Thilo Kehrer (27) is staying at AS Monaco, the Ligue 1 runner-up has exercised his purchase option and has thus signed the central defender on a permanent basis.
On Friday, Kehrer signed a contract with the Monegasque team until the summer of 2028. So far he has only been on loan from West Ham United.
“I am very happy and proud to be able to continue the adventure with AS Monaco,” said Kehrer: “We have already experienced many beautiful moments, such as this second place, which secures a place in the Champions League next season – and I hope to see many more in this jersey.”
Kehrer moved from the Premier League to Monaco in the winter, also in order to once again be the focus of national coach Julian Nagelsmann for the European Championship. However, he was not named to the European Championship squad on Thursday.
