Motorcycle World Championship: Bagnaia takes victory in Catalonia

Motorcycle World Championship

World champion Francesco Bagnaia won the MotoGP race at the Grand Prix of Catalonia in Montmelo on Sunday. The Italian Ducati rider won ahead of his Spanish brand colleagues Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez.

The two-time champion Bagnaia, who crashed while leading in the sprint on Saturday, made up some points on world championship leader Martin. For the eight-time world champion Marquez it was the second third place of the weekend, starting from 14th place on the grid.

South African KTM rider Brad Binder finished eighth, while his teammates Jack Miller (AUS) and Pedro Acosta (ESP) crashed. However, Acosta continued riding and finished in the points in 14th place.
