This Sunday, May 12, 2024, the grand final of the 2024 French Baseball Challenge was held, pitting the Barracudas of Montpellier against the Cometz of Metz.
The match started at 2:00 p.m., after the retirement of a number on the Rouen pitch (Maxime Lefevre), the introduction of the two teams and the French national anthem.
Largely dominated by the Barracudas until the fourth round (5-0), the Cometz came back to 5-2 but Montpellier was able to widen the gap and win 8-2.
The winners of the 2024 French Baseball Challenge are the Montpellier Barracudas!
The Montpellier residents thus win their ticket for the European Club Cup.
The FFBS congratulates them, as well as the Cometz who obtained second place at the end of a historic journey in the competition.
