Mexican Duo Alejandra Valencia and Matias Grande Win Gold at 2024 Archery World Cup

Hermosillo, Sonora.- Alejandra Valencia y Matias Grande stood out in the Archery World Cup 2024celebrated in Yecheon, South Koreaby securing the gold medal in the mixed team category.

The Mexican couple beat their opponents from 6-2 in the final. Japan, Ruka Uehara y Junya Nakanishi.

Mexico began their journey in the competition with a solid 6-0 victory over Iran.

In the quarterfinals, they beat China Taipei (represented by Lei Chien-Ying y Tang Chih-Chun) with a score of 6-2.

In a thrilling semi-final, they defeated Spain (con Elia Canales y AndrΓ©s TemiΓ±o) with a tight 5-4 (20-18). These consecutive victories secured their place in the finals.

It is worth mentioning that the woman from Hermosillo took the bronze in the individual event by beating the competitor from the India, Deepika Kumariwith a score 6-4.
