It’s the nice surprise of the day. After failing in his quest for an Olympic quota in two-seater kayak (with Guillaume Burger), Maxime Beaumont is finally selected in single-seater for Paris 2024, in canoe-kayak. The Boulonnais will play his 4th consecutive Olympic Games at the age of 42. Unsurprisingly, he will be accompanied by three other Northerners: Roubaisienne Manon Hostens (kayak) and Immercuriens Adrien Bart and Loïc Léonard. In badminton, Delphine Delrue (Chambly Oise) will compete in the mixed doubles in Paris.

The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) has validated the selection of 20 new athletes who will join the French delegation in athletics, badminton, canoe, wrestling and table tennis. The Olympic Selection Advisory Commission (OCSO) met on Tuesday May 14, 2024, under the chairmanship ofAnne Tournier-Lasservedeputy vice-president of the CNOSF in charge of high level.

The CCSO heard the presentations made by the French Athletics Federation, the French badminton federation, the French Federation of Canoe Kayak and Paddle Sports, the French wrestling federation and associated disciplines and the French Table Tennis Federation after they have selected their athletes. The CCSO communicated its conclusions to the Executive Office of the CNOSF which validated this list of selected candidates. The President of the CNOSF will contact the organizing committee to recruit the following athletes for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games:
