I’m incredibly happy to be on pole here, I didn’t expect it. We made some last minute changes and it made the car a little nicer. I was able to attack harder. This track is truly incredible, being at the limit on this circuit in qualifying, I even hit the gravel in the last corner. My heart is still beating fast and my adrenaline is very high.
It’s been 30 years since we lost Ayrton Senna on this track and I’m very happy to get pole position here. It’s a great way to remember this driver, who was very great on the qualifying laps. »
