The Mauzé-Rigné Tennis Club, which has a badminton section, has just organized its annual doubles tournament. It took place in two phases. The first part consisted of group matches to determine a ranking which led either to a main draw or to a secondary draw.
42 teams, a record
The second part was played in direct elimination in each table. A total of 42 teams participated, which is a record for this tournament. They competed against each other in a friendly atmosphere.
Like last year, the “PiouBou team”, made up of Thomas Bourgeois and Cédric Piou, won in the main draw by beating the duo “Les Tocards” in the final. In the secondary table, “Les aces du shuttle” won against the pair “Mathemma”.
