Ribeira Brava hosted, this morning, the 4th stage of the Regional Walking Football Circuit 2023/2024, which brought together seven teams in the recreational and competitive aspects, whose winners were Madeira Walking Football and Rami, respectively.
After passing through Machico, Calheta and Porto Santo, the race for athletes over 50 years old, arrived at the Ribeira Brava Municipal Stadium.
This is a sport that has gained more and more fans due to the added value it transmits to its participants, since in addition to working on the physical, mental and social aspects, it encourages conviviality, teamwork and healthy competitiveness between the teams.
Remember that this sport is practiced by people aged 50 or over and consists of playing football while walking.
Teams A and B from Universidade Sénior da Ribeira Brava and Madeira Walking Football participated in the recreational competition. The competitive aspect had CTT, Rami, Educação, 1.º Maio, Santacruzense and Canicense.
The organization was in charge of the Association of Arbitration Technicians of RAM and had the support of the Ribeira Brava City Council.
