Lucca Guercio Secures First ATP Point with Victory in Neuquén World Tennis Circuit

The Santiago native defeated Manuel Mouilleron Salvo from Tandil by 6/0, 3/6 and 6/3 in the world tennis circuit of the M15 category that is being played in Neuquén.

Lucca Guercio is at a crucial moment in his sporting career. He added his first ATP point, after debuting with victory at the M15 ITF Neuquén 2024 against Manuel Mouilleron Salvo from Tandil by 6/0, 3/6 and 6/3.

The man from Santiago, number 1338 in the ATP world ranking, became the first Argentine in the 2006 category to achieve that goal.

On Thursday, he will face Matías Franco Descotte from Buenos Aires in the second round, who eliminated Ezequiel Monferrer 6/2, 3/6, 7/6 (6).

Guercio will go in search of revenge, since he lost last week to Descotte, number 567 in the ranking, at the Future in Trelew.

Meanwhile, tomorrow he will debut in doubles together with Mariano Kestelvoy against the couple made up of Nicolás Jara Lozano and Tiago Ranea.

“I am very happy because they won an ATP point, it is very hard and today we were able to achieve that goal. Now, to move forward, to keep putting in the work. On Thursday I play against Matías Descote. Last week I lost to him in the Future in Trelew and I have the rematch on Thursday,” he commented excitedly.
