On Thursday night, the NBA released the results of the All-NBA team vote. 99 sports journalists around the world were allowed to choose their best 15 players from the past regular season – and agreed on two players,

Both MVP Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander each received all 99 votes for the All-NBA First Team. For Jokic, center of the Denver Nuggets, this is the fourth time he has been named to the First Team. OKC guard Gilgeous-Alexander is among the top five players of the season for the second time.

The top five are completed by Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), who received 98 votes for the first team and one for the second team, as well as Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks, 88 times first team, 11 times second team) and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics, 65 times first team, 34 times second team). For Doncic, it is already the fifth nomination in the top five in a row, Antetokounmpo is even there for the sixth time in a row, Tatum for the third year in a row.

Debuts for Brunson, Edwards and Haliburton – James now the oldest

In the second team, the two guards Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks) and Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves) celebrate their All-NBA debut. Kevin Durant (Phoenix Suns, 11th All-NBA nomination), Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers, 6) and Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers, 5) also made it into the second team.

LeBron James, meanwhile, has extended his long list of personal records with his selection to the All-NBA Third Team. The 39-year-old Los Angeles Lakers forward is now the oldest player ever to be selected to an All-NBA team. He previously shared this record with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tim Duncan (both 38). This is his 20th nomination, which further extends his lead and means he has now been in the top 15 five times more often than Abdul-Jabbar, Duncan and Kobe Bryant, who share second place with 15 selections.

In addition to James, Stephen Curry has also made it once again. The Golden State Warriors guard is on an All-NBA team for the eleventh time. Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns, both for the second time) and All-NBA debutant Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers also collected enough votes to make it onto the Third Team.
