NBA superstar LeBron James (39) could leave the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer. This was revealed by his agent Rich Paul, the husband of pop singer Adele.

Paul was connected to an internet stream by US broadcaster TNT on the sidelines of the game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Dallas Mavericks.
There he revealed: “LeBron will be a free agent in the summer.”

The superstar has a so-called player option with the Lakers for the summer. He can therefore decide for himself whether to exercise it. If he does so, he could collect $51.4 million next season.
So Paul says, “I need to focus on his business, and he should focus on his business.”
That means: negotiate even more money!
The Lakers can offer him a three-year contract worth $162 million if he opts out of his contract. According to US reports, LeBron wants to play for another 2-3 years.
