La Matanza Mayor Prosecuted for Simple Sexual Abuse: Judge Places $1.5M Embargo

The mayor of La Matanza, Fernando Espinoza, was prosecuted for the crime of simple sexual abuse and Judge María Galletti placed an embargo on him for the sum of $1,500,000.

The judge also ordered the prohibition of contact between Espinoza and Melody Rakauskas, who filed the complaint against the communal chief more than two years ago.

The judicial resolution establishes that Espinoza is considered “prima facie” responsible for the crimes of simple sexual abuse in real competition with disobedience, as the author and to the detriment of Rakauskas.

Furthermore, the mayor will continue to be provisionally released, since the restrictive conditions for his detention are not met, although he must stay away from the complainant and avoid any type of contact with him.

It should be remembered that in mid-2021, a young woman who was Espinoza’s private secretary but with a false name because she was a Miss Argentina model, reported him to her for a situation of simple sexual abuse during a dinner at her house.

According to her story in Justice but also on TV, at those dinners, the suburban baron questioned the young woman in an uncomfortable way, despite the fact that she had been in a relationship with a close friend of his for six years, while, in the Lastly, he forced her to the bedroom of the house, threw her on the bed and began to kiss her near her breasts.

According to the complaint, Espinoza asked the young woman to perform oral sex on him, but her refusal was tenacious even though he tore her shirt and tried to pull down her pants. “It was abuse without penetration, I was blocked, I didn’t want him to continue, but he had his body on top of me, I tried to stop him from taking down my pants, in his attempt he left marks on my legs all over,” she said at the time on the program La Cornice.
