DB Schenker, a global supply chain management company, has announced the incorporation of Jorge García Fernández who will assume the role of Head of GPIS for the company in Iberia.
Jorge García will report to Matilde Torquemada, current CEO of Iberia, and Jan Kristian Schønheyder, product manager in Europe.
The new GPIS manager at DB Schenker Iberia is an industrial engineer from the Carlos III University of Madrid; He has an MBA from the School of Industrial Organization; and is certified as a Project Manager by the PM Institute. His training has allowed him to develop an extensive professional career as a project engineer and Project Manager in different companies such as Atos, Iberdrola, Thyssenkrupp, GRI or Brammer.
He began his career in the logistics sector 10 years ago and has held positions at HAVI, such as business development director; at DHL Supply Chain, as Key Account Manager and prior to joining DB Schenker he served as Senior Account Manager at Maersk.
