Eagle Football Holdings, a group controlled by the American businessman, has a 45% stake in Crystal Palace, but says it has now sought help in finding a suitable investor to buy the group’s stake in the club.

Textor’s plans now include the purchase of another English team: Evertonwhich is experiencing an issue with 777 Partners, SAF which is also going through a legal fight with the association Vasco.

– Yes (there were conversations about buying Everton). I asked if there is a way to resolve this confusion. I don’t want to get into a situation where I’m not welcome – said John Textor.

I’m watching [a situação], but the 777 still has a contract. There are people close to the club who care about who is investing. Maybe we are in a position to solve a lot of problems for people, but we are watching because there are people who have a stake in the club. It’s quite confusing and some things need to be cleaned up – concluded the businessman.

Textor also said in the statement that although he is “extremely proud” of his time at the club, an integrated sporting model like Eagle’s does not fit perfectly with the English club, which finished 10th this season in the Premier League.
