Jean Montero (Andorra) wins his first Movistar MVP in April

The Dominican MoraBanc Andorra player Jean Montero is the Movistar MVP of the month of April of the Endesa League, the first monthly individual trophy he has achieved in his career thanks to the 23.5 average rating points.

Jean Montero, who was chosen this week as Best Young Player of the Endesa League and became part of the Best Young Quintet of the Endesa League 2023-24, also achieved recognition as best player last April.

At 20 years old, the MoraBanc Andorra guard put together a great performance in the victory against Coviran Granada (88-62) with 15 points (5/10 in field goals and 4/4 in free throws), 7 assists and 3 rebounds to conclude the match with 24 rating credits.

Despite the defeat against Dreamland Gran Canaria (97-92), one of his former teams, the Dominican had 24 points (including 4/7 in triples), 6 assists and 4 rebounds, for a total rating of 31 .

He also led, with 16 points, MoraBanc Andorra’s victory on the BAXI Manresa court (90-97). The one from Santo Domingo added 4 assists and 4 rebounds to a statistical sheet that showed a total of 25 rating points.

To close the month, Montero helped Andorra add another victory, against Barça (108-92), with 14 points and 6 assists to reach 14 in PIR, closing the month with three wins and a single loss to move away to 4 games from the relegation zone.

In total, Montero closed the month averaging 17.3 points (94.4% in free throws, 70% in two-pointers and 42.1% in triples), 5.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 recoveries in the four games played in April.
