EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Jasper’s Carter Holsworth has announced his commitment to Marshall! The Wildcat runningback had quite a senior season, rushing for 1486 yards, on a very efficient seven yards per carry. Holsworth took plenty of trips to the endzone as well, notching 18 touchdowns on the season. At Marshall, he’s hoping for a shot to break into their runningback rotation. For Holsworth though, it’s the end of a long process.
“It took a bit longer than I wanted, but they reached out. It took a couple months to finalize the process. I really like their coaches and I really like the facilities on campus,” said Holsworth.
What is he looking forward to most?
“Everything really. Football, school, college,” said Holsworth. “I think we lift first, for a couple weeks, just freshman, and then we go into practicing.”
