Italian Men’s National Archery Team Secures Spot at Paris 2024 Olympics

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 10 – The men’s national archery team will be present with the maximum contingent at Paris 2024.


The trio formed by Mauro Nespoli, Federico Musolesi and Alessandro Paoli, in fact, qualified for the final at the European Championships in Essen (Germany), guaranteeing the five-round ticket reserved for the best nation not yet qualified, a place in the Olympic team event and, at the same time, three quotas to spend on the individual test.


In the last continental act, the Azzurri will compete for the gold medal with France, already qualified as the host country. For the Italian team, after the absence at Tokyo 2020, it is a return to the Olympics eight years after the last time. Italy, thanks to today’s exploit, will also participate in Paris in the mixed team, currently also being able to count on a women’s card, the result of the bronze won by Chiara Rebagliati at the European Games in Krakow 2023.


There are currently 260 Italians qualified for Paris (132 men, 128 women) in 26 disciplines. (HANDLE).
