The Fiamme Gialle athlete came close to the -78 kg title, losing to the German Anna-Maria Wagner in the final, after a match fought until the Golden Score. “I am not presumptuous if I say that I participate in these events to win” commented the 25-year-old from Brescia. “I wasn’t here for a final like this, but I have to honor this medal and I will do it by improving myself.” With this silver Bellandi, current no. 3 in the world ranking, already European vice-champion and world championship bronze in the 2023 edition, confirms herself among the favorites at the next Olympics: “Two months of work await me to get to Paris ready to conquer what I left here today.”
