Czech Republic already in the quarterfinals

In Group A, the Czech Republic won 4-0 (1-0, 2-0, 1-0) against the surprise team Austria. While the hosts are in the quarter-finals early after their fourth win in the fifth game, the Austrians are waiting for their second win in this tournament after their coup against Finland on Thursday.

Denmark had previously narrowly won against Great Britain 4:3 (2:2, 1:1, 1:0) and thus shattered the British dream of their first victory at the World Cup.
