Ibaraki Robots Place Luke Maye on Free Negotiation List

Maye is averaging 20.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season.

The Ibaraki Robots announced on May 16th that they have placed Luke Maye and Brian Conklin on the free negotiation list. The club is said to be continuing negotiations with May.

May, 27 years old from the United States, is a 203 cm, 106 kg small forward and power forward. He started his career in the NBA’s G League in 2019 after graduating from the University of North Carolina. He moved between Italy, Spain and Turkey before joining Ibaraki in February 2024. This season, he started 9 out of 19 games and averaged 27.20 minutes of playing time, averaging 20.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, contributing to his staying in B1.

Originally from the United States, Conklin, 34 years old, is a 198cm, 104kg power forward. He started his career in New Zealand in 2014 after graduating from Saint Louis University, and moved to Australia, South America, and Europe before joining Ibaraki in January 2024. High expectations were placed on him due to his ability to win the season MVP when he was in Australia, but this season he was injured in his debut match against the Hiroshima Dragonflies on January 27th, and was placed on the injured list on February 16th. He did not return until the end of the season.
