The Slovak winger wandered around the world, but he couldn’t stay anywhere for long. He couldn’t cope in the Israeli league, and he also couldn’t cope after returning to his homeland. He left the last club – MFK Karvina – after the end of the previous season. He hasn’t played anywhere since then. Now, information has circulated in the Slovak media that he has decided to end his career.
“The former player of Skalica and Žilina, Jaroslav Mihalik, has finished his football career. Jaroslav is only 29 years old. He played eight matches for the national team,” says the “Futbalove Zakulisie” profile on Twitter.
The former footballer explained the reasons for this decision in a conversation on YouTube with Jaroslav Krkoska. – Some agents pay coaches to have their players play. That’s one of the reasons I resigned, he said. – I will only return to the Slovak league if they give me a salary of EUR 5,000 – he revealed.
Although the end of Mihalik’s career was not the best, he performed best in the domestic league. In 136 games in Slovakia, he scored 29 goals and made 22 assists.
