He has been under observation for a long time! Young “dream player” moves to BVB

Striker Pharell Kegni is moving from 1. FC Nuremberg to Borussia Dortmund. This is according to consistent media reports.

The 17-year-old is said to have signed a contract in Dortmund until 2027 and will play for the U19 team in the future. The 1.84 meter tall Kegni was considered U19 coach Mike Tullberg’s dream player, writes the Ruhr Nachrichten.

Dortmund are said to have been watching Kegni for some time. BVB will not officially announce the transfer until after the final of the German U19 championship. The Westphalian team will face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in Oberhausen next Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

Kegni will not cost Borussia a transfer fee as his contract in Nuremberg is expiring.

Kegni scored 18 goals in 26 games in the U17 Bundesliga South/Southwest for Nuremberg last season. In one game he played for 89 minutes for the club’s U19 team.

Kegni, who only celebrated his 17th birthday on May 21st, moved from 1. SC Feucht to the Franconian youth division in 2016. Since then, he has been through the various youth teams there. However, the Nuremberg native has not yet been nominated for a German national team at U-level.
