HEESCH – The Heesche Badminton Association presented the Hissie Cup on Friday, May 24. The Hissiecup, named after the club’s grumpy pink mascot, is a challenge trophy that is awarded every six months to the team that performs best in the regional competition.

Throughout the season, competition teams have been able to track their performance on a digital ranking that is updated after each competition round. The top step of the podium has been occupied by many different teams this season, but in the end only one team can take home the big trophy with two ears.

Ultimately, it was HBV 3, consisting of Isabel de Jager, Lotte van Erp, Marcel Berendse and Lucas Mulders, that finished at the top of the rankings, leaving the four other HBV competition teams behind.

The competition season has officially ended with the presentation of the HissieCup. The badminton players of the Heesche Badminton Association will continue to train and play until the summer holidays. More information can be found at www.hbv-heesch.nl.
