The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has announced the sending of a delegation of the group to Cairo (Egypt) to continue negotiations on a possible Stop the fire in the Gaza Strip, as reported Laura Chiclana from Jerusalem.
Hamas has underlined in a statement “the positive spirit” with which it has studied the recently received proposal and has assured that “the Palestinian resistance forces are determined to mature the agreementin a way that meets the demands” of the Palestinian people.
Some requirements, he specified, include “completely stopping the aggression, withdraw forces of occupation, return the displaced, provide relief to (its) people, begin reconstruction and complete a serious exchange agreement,” according to the note collected by the newspaper ‘Falastin’.
UN calls on the parties to reach an agreement
