Great news comes from Macedonia! The Pole’s huge success after a murderous Tennis battle

Kamil Majchrzak was one of the greatest hopes of Polish tennis. In the past, he was even 75th in the ATP rankings. However, his career was halted by a sensational suspension following suspicions of doping. Ultimately, he was found innocent and returned to the game after over a year’s break. And it shows that he is determined to make up for lost time. He has already won four tournaments, both ITF and Challenger, and this week he was fighting for another pass to the final – in Skopje.

Kamil Majchrzak has a chance for another title in 2024. The first two sets were an even fight

The Pole defeated three rivals without any major problems, losing only one set. Thanks to this, he advanced to the semi-finals. At this stage of the competition, his opponent was Ryan Seggerman. Majchrzak was the favorite to win, despite such a long break. He pointed to this, among others: ranking. The Pole ranks 351st and his rival 555th.

The competition was very fierce from the very beginning and it did not go our compatriot’s way. He was broken in the fourth game. However, he did not give up and made up for the loss. In game number nine, he won on the American’s serve and equalized the score. Ultimately, a tie-break was needed to determine the winner of the set. In it, the Pole quickly took control and practically crushed his opponent, triumphing 7-2.

In the second game, he followed suit. He broke his opponent at the first opportunity and was on his way to closing the match in just two sets. In the ninth game, he even had two match balls on his own pass, but… he didn’t use them. Wasted opportunities take revenge, as the old saying goes, which quickly proved true in the case of the Pole.

The third set was Majchrzak’s show

There was a tie-break again, and this time the American was better – 8:6. The fate of the match was decided by the third set. In this match, Majchrzak gave his opponent no chance. He broke it twice and led 5:1. Although the rival still defended, he was unable to make up for the loss. Thus, the Pole won 6:2, used the first match ball and advanced to the final.

On Saturday, he will fight for his fifth title this season. His opponent will be the winner of the fight between Gerard Campana Lee and Joel Josef Schwaerzler.
