The Goiânia Foxes team qualified for the Women’s Flag Football SuperFinal after finishing the Southeast/Central-West Regional Tournament in 4th place. The regional competition, valid for the Brazilian Cup in the category, was held in São José do Rio Preto, in the state of São Paulo, between May 25th and 26th (Saturday and Sunday).

In total, the Goiás team (which in the state is the only female team in the sport) played six matches and recorded two wins, one draw and three defeats (with two already in the knockout stage). However, by finishing the competition among the top four, the Goiás guaranteed their place in the final stage of the Copa do Brasil.

The women’s SuperFinal will be in Manaus, and is scheduled to take place between November 30th and December 1st (Saturday and Sunday). There is an expectation that the championship matches will be held at Arena da Amazônia, but the official location has not yet been confirmed by the Brazilian Confederation of American Football (CBFA).
