Giro 2024: the rankings after the 17th stage, Georg Steinhauser strong

Georg Steinhauser achieved a number by winning this Wednesday at the end of the 17th stage of 159 km marked by the ascent of five passes. The young 22-year-old German, nephew of Jan Ullrich, resisted the return of the leaders during the final climb towards Passo Bronco, a ski resort in northeastern Italy. Tadej Pogacar consolidated his pink jersey by finishing second and grabbing 18 seconds from his main rivals, relegated to more than 7 minutes in the general classification.
