Giro 2024: Pogacar domination, Bardet in the top 10… Here is the final general classification

Curtain ! After a Tour of Italy controlled from start to finish, Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) finished very well at the top of the general classification, almost ten minutes ahead of his main pursuer, Daniel Felipe Martinez (Bora-Hansgrohe) . The Slovenian had no real competition in this Giro, won six stage victories and finished with the largest gap in a Grand Tour for forty years, after the last stage won by Tim Merlier in the sprint in Rome on Sunday.

The first Frenchman overall is Romain Bardet (DSM Firmenich PostNL), ninth, more than twenty minutes behind the leader. He is the only Tricolor in this top 10. Note the victories of Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) in the points classification and Tadej Pogacar, again, in the mountain classification. Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain-Victorious), fifth overall, takes on the white jersey of best young rider.
