Update on the selected ones

Concerning I’recurve bow team, the Blues are in great form since they have just shattered five French records. This meeting will allow the Olympic collective to confront the European elite and once again evaluate the work accomplished and that which they will still have to provide to hope to win a medal next summer on the Esplanade des Invalides . Note that in Shanghai, if the Asian nations reaffirmed their domination, it was Andres Temino, a Spaniard who won among the men.

Baptiste Addis, Thomas Chirault et Jean-Charles Valladont will make up the French men’s recurve team. Well on his feet after his 4th place in China, Clermontois Thomas Chirault and his teammates will be faced with well-known names in international archery; notably, Florian Unruh, the local German, silver medalist in 2022 at the European Championship, as well as the reigning Olympic champion Mete Gazoz (TUR), bronze medalist during the last edition.
Other nations to watch in Essen will be Italy, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands and of course Spain.

In women, Lisa Barbelin, Amélie Cordeau et Caroline Lopez will represent France. The French women will try to win a medal during this championship where their main rivals will be the German, Spanish and Italian archers. If in Shanghai, the Asian archers won everything, behind them, our three French women reached the round of 16 and will be keen to do well on the European scene, whether individually or as a team.
