On Sunday the Italian rider Francesco Bagnaia, who races for the Ducati Lenovo team, won the MotoGP Catalan Grand Prix for the first time in his career, held on the Montmeló circuit. Bagnaia finished ahead of the Spaniards Jorge Martín (of the Ducati Pramac team) and Marc Marquez (of the Ducati Gresini team).
With Sunday’s victory Bagnaia, who is the reigning MotoGP champion, took himself to 116 points and reached second place in the rider standings, ahead of Marquez (114) and behind Martín (155).
