Football: Empoli from Abodi to renovate the stadium – Football

In the afternoon, a delegation from Empoli FC met in Rome, at the Ministry of Sport, with the working group of the Interinstitutional Committee created for the redevelopment of stadiums in view of Euro 2032.

In the meeting, the Tuscan club exposed the redevelopment project of the Empoli stadium ‘Carlo Castellani-Computer Gross Arena’, which will be presented by the end of June to the municipal administration, owner of the facility, to proceed according to the process of ‘ project financing’.

The parties discussed the tools that the government makes available to sports clubs. At the table for Empoli were the operational director Gianmarco Lupi, with the company’s consultant Luca Lotti and Marco Messina, head of the company that takes care of the project financing of the redevelopment of the stadium. On the other side of the table, the Minister of Sport Andrea Abodi as well as representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the FIGC, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Credito Sportivo, the Sace insurance-financial group specialized in business support, the Italian Real Estate Investment and Sports and Health company.

The work involves the reconstruction of the municipal facility in stages, starting first from the two curves and then proceeding, ultimately, to move the main grandstand without touching the Maratona sector, which is the most recent structure.

The project will see the participation of Computer Gross – the club’s current main sponsor – and other partners who will support the Tuscan company.
