Fever Builds as European Championship Squad Announcement Looms imminent

There are only a few hours left until the official announcement of the European Championship squad!

18 names have already been announced by the DFB. That means: Nagelsmann still has room for eight more players. According to BILD information, Leverkusen offensive player Jonas Hofmann (31) is not there!

Hofmann was in the DFB squad for the first four games under Nagelsmann – but the midfielder was not nominated for the games against France and the Netherlands.

The Leverkusen star had a sensational start to the Bundesliga season and had 12 scorer points (5 goals and 7 assists) after 12 games. However, he was then unable to build on his strong performances from the first half of the season.

That probably wasn’t enough for the home European Championships!

This Thursday (May 16th/1 p.m.) national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) will announce the squad for our home European Championship 2024 in Berlin.
