As “Sky” reports, Rene Maric, the current U19 coach of FC Bayern Munich, is set to move to the first team as one of Vincent Kompany’s assistant coaches.
However, the prerequisite is that an agreement can actually be reached with Burnley FC regarding the coach’s transfer fee. That is what it currently looks like.
Maric has been working for FC Bayern since November 2023, initially as “Team Leader Coach Development and Game Idea”. In February 2024, he became coach of the U19s.
Maric has a great advocate in sports director Christoph Freund, whom he knows from their days together in Salzburg. At that time, Maric was Marco Rose’s assistant coach.
