The first matches in the top leagues will take place this weekend.
It’s finally that time again: the senior Bundesliga starts the new season on May 4th. Men’s 45, 55 and 60 open, Men’s 70 begins on May 7th, followed by Men’s 65 on May 9th. The ten teams per age group play in two groups of five for places in the play-offs, which take place in June. The seven women’s 35 and 55 teams play in a round-robin system, the first round starts on May 5th.
In the fall, the men 35 and the women 45 and 60 will play. This year, more than 90 teams will take part in the senior Bundesliga and fight for the coveted title of “Austrian team champions”. A men’s 75 and women’s 65 championship will once again be offered in tournament form; this will take place from September 24th to 27th at the TC Warmbad-Villach facility.
